크리스티나 반반은 1987년에 바르셀로나에서 태어나고 자랐다. 이후 런던을 거쳐 뉴욕을 거점으로 활동하는 그녀의 작품은 자신의 여정의 시각적 속삭임과 울림을 보여준다.
크리스티나 반반의 그림은 여성의 형태에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 그녀는 관능적인 인물들을 종종 겹치고 캔버스의 가장자리를 향해 넓게 뻗어나가는 살찐 색조의 미각으로 묘사한다. 크리스티나 반반의 작품은 모더니즘적인 유럽 구성과 관련된 요소들과 추상화의 흔적을 결합한다. 표현적인 움직임으로 가득 찬 레이어드 텍스처 구성의 색장으로 점철된 느슨한 붓놀림의 빠른 공격 속에 활기찬 형태가 캔버스에서 나타났다 물러난다.
